ISC/WHF Council on Epidemiology and Prevention. Origins and history to 1986.
The Council on Epidemiology and Prevention of the International Society of Cardiology-World Heart Federation evolved from the ISC Research Committee headed by Ancel Keys and Paul White and was formally consituted along with seven other councils at the 1966 World Congress of Cardiology in New Delhi. The Council was dissociated from the WHF in 2007, becoming a self-regulating society, not yet named, but maintaining direction of the International 10-day Seminar in CVD Epidemiology and the quadrennial International Conference on Preventive Cardiology.
