Ahrens, E.H.

Ed "Pete" Ahrens was a Rockefeller researcher and pioneer in the metabolism of diet lipids and effects on blood lipoproteins. He was early to identify the cholesterol-lowering effect of polyunsaturated fatty acids, and became a lifetime crusader against NIH and American Heart and other recommendations for modifying the diet of the general U.S. public.
