The Wednesday morning Surgery Grand Rounds following Fat Tuesday went on at Charity Hospital as usual. Unusually, however, Prof. Ochsner was almost too hoarse to be heard after his long ordeal as Rex, King of Carnival. Impatient with the hesitant case presentation of Martin, one of our happier class clowns, he packed him out of the amphitheater, ordering: “Go get yourself some oxygen and don’t come back till you’re sober!”
