AHA Ancel Keys Lecturers

The Ancel Keys Lecture, an annual presentation at the fall AHA scientific sessions, was established in 1990 by the Council on Epidemiology and Prevention of the Association in honor of Ancel Keys, a pioneer of CVD epidemiology and founding member of the Council.

Ancel Keys (1904-2004) had a long and distinguished scientific career based at the Laboratory of Physiological Hygiene, School of Public Health, University of Minnesota, in the study of the causes and prevention of cardiovascular diseases. (Henry Blackburn)
