K. Srinath Reddy, MD, DM, MBBS


Srinath Reddy earned his MD and DM in cardiology at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences. He received an MSc in clinical epidemiology at McMaster University. His research interests include the epidemiology of coronary and rheumatic heart disease and cigarette smoking in India, and he participates in the INTERSALT Study.

Reddy is an international leader on issues of CVD in developing nations and has served on World Health Organization panels including the Advisory Panel on Cardiovascular Disease and as Chair of the World Heart Federation’s Scientific Council on Epidemiology and Prevention.

He is the editor of the National Medical Journal of India and Head of the Department of Cardiology at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences. (FB/HB)
