Tobian, Louis, MD (1920-2006)

Louis Tobian was a laboratory researcher who studied the mechanisms of hypertension, describing the contribution of the kidney in regulating blood volume and in secreting pro- and anti-hypertensive hormones. He took great interest in the epidemiological and paleontological evidence relating aspects of diet (especially sodium and potassium) to hypertension.
