Topic : Use of simulation modeling to identify policy-relevant epidemiologic research.
Shalini Kulasingham, PhD
Assistant Professor
Division of Epidemiology & Community Health, School of Public Health, University of Minnesota
Abstract :

Results from simulation modeling studies are increasingly being used along with results from epidemiologic studies to inform clinical guidelines and public health policies in the U.S. This has been particularly true in the area of human papillomavirus (HPV) and cervical cancer. This talk will provide a brief overview of decision models and illustrate how results from simulation modeling studies of HPV vaccines have identified areas for further research.
