Resource: National STD Curriculum

The University of Washington STD Prevention Training Center has created a National STD Curriculum. This free educational website is funded by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and part of the National Network of STD Clinical Prevention Training (NNPTC), an STD prevention initiative that partners with health departments and universities.

This particular resource is a self-paced online learning and assessment tool that medical professionals can use to further their education on STDs in the United States. The modules address epidemiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, management, and prevention of various STDs such as chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, and others. Along with the informational modules, the website contains a question bank which is an interactive board-review style assessment. The information provided is consistent with the CDC guidelines and allows you to track your progress while earning Continuing Education credit. The NNPTC strives to keep the website up-to-date with the most current research.
