LOCAL ORDINANCES

Why Local Alcohol Control?

In the United States,individual states regulate the use of alcoholic beverages. These states may authorize their local units of government to create laws that regulate alcohol sales and consumption in their communities. Such regulations generally take the form of municipal or county ordinances.

The sample laws listed in this section provide both information and model alcohol control ordinances to regulate alcohol on the community level.
