Strategies for Understanding & Measuring Health Disparities



July 29-30, 2000, Minneapolis, Minnesota

At this two-day MCH Summer Institute local and national experts provided a comprehensive overview of the nature and magnitude of health disparities. Powerpoint presentations are available below.

  • Presentation by Urban Landreman, MS, MBA & Gopal Narayan, MS, MA this presentation focuses on the many data sources available in Minnesota and nationally that help us assess health disparities and potential contributors.
  • Presentation by Cheryl Blackmore Prince, MPH, PhD this presentation discusses the meaning of disparities and the factors have been associated with health disparities, including race, ethnicity, and socio-economic status.
